September SIM Austin Monthly Meeting - Organizational Change Management

2019_September_Meeting_event_pic.jpg

Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Join us for a discussion on a successful (on-time and on-budget) case study. For this technology implementation, the Organizational Change Management mission was to: Ready the business to adopt and own the new ways of working enabled by the 'new technology'. They had to take into consideration distributed employees, resistance to change, training immediately before each go-live, and sustainability after roll-out. What process did they follow to achieve a successful implementation? Find out during an interactive session that will cover learnings, stakeholder engagement, change readiness and, most critically, the business readiness plan.

When: Tuesday, September 10, 2019, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Where: Projekt202 , 1300 Guadalupe St., #300, Austin, TX 78701 ( map )

Two leading experts, Krystal Webber, Global Design & Strategy Leader, and Christopher Magdelain, Design Lead & Consultant, from IBM Blockchain Services, lead us through an intriguing discussion on IBM's Resiliency and Recovery Support to Texas project.  The goal of the project, utilizing IBM's developed blockchain-based citizen assistance application, is to transform back-end processes and enable community stakeholders to establish a culture of natural disaster preparedness and shifting public focus from reactive, recovery-based initiative to proactive, resiliency-based initiative.
